Is Making Money On The Internet Real..?
If you’ve ever tried making money on the internet there may have been a time when you thought it was all a big fat lie. (Maybe you still think that?)
With all the information available and all the differences of opinion about what it takes to “make it” online I’d like to share with you a list of the top internet entrepreneurs under the age of 21 and a common thread between them that has propelled them to their own online success.
Out of the top 20 young internet entrepreneurs under 21, eight of them have one thing in common that I really want you to pay attention to.
Especially if you think that making money online is near impossible!
First the list, their ages and their websites:
- Paul Bourqe 19 years old - www.uberaffiliate.com
- Carl Ocab 15 years old - www.carlocab.com
- Stanley Tang 16 years old - www.emillionsblog.com
- Long Zheng 20 years old - www.istartedsomething.com
- Andrew Galasetti 20 years old - www.lyved.com
- Joel Drapper 15 years old - www.joeldrapper.com
- Liam Goodwin - www.filmonic.com
- Thilak Raj Rao - www.tech-buzz.net
If you take a closer look you will notice the one thing these youngsters all have in common…
Know what it is..?
Most of you will guess it right off the top but for the rest who just can’t see it yet, I’ll tell you…
They all started a BLOG!
Simple eh? Well most beginner online marketers never start a blog, or if they do it’s a ghost town within a month. I know this for a fact - been there done that, got the t-shirt!
There are so many courses, so many how-to videos, so many physical products, tons of “The Secret” now revealed or the infamous “_____ is dead” reports… all wanting to show you the latest technique.
There’s nothing wrong with that, however most of you are NOT ready for information like that at this point.
What’s wrong with S-I-M-P-L-E…? Being highly motivated and seriously focused on a simple plan is highly effective in any business, but online you can begin for just a few bucks.
Here are some helpful tips:
1. Take the time to get a domain name and web hosting.
2. Have a clear and consise plan on were you want to take your business
3. Create a detailed plan of action - I have a daily schedule! (hint)
4. Actually do the work!
That’s it… you can be in business tomorrow, but there are a few things you may want to spend a bit of time on before rushing off to start a new blog.
I’ll get into those details a little later…
Chow for now!

Interesting post, Mike. The main thing is that these young guys took action. Many folks talk about starting something online, but simply don’t get around to really making the effort. It does take time and dedication, but with a blog you simply have to succeed if you do your bit.

Hi Rika,
Appreciate you taking the time to comment. You are so right.. they took action and I think that if anyone takes deliberate and sustained action they have no choice but to succeed… eventually!

Indeed after thrashing away at PPC etc for a year I finally succumbed to blogging (I thought it would be very hard and time consuming)… Now I’m actually making some money, helping some people and building relationships every day.
I think your observations are spot on.. the proof is right before our eyes and I can’t say enough to anyone shying away from blogging because they think it’s going to be hard work - Just Do It!! It’ll be worth it and you’ll find it’ll get a life of it’s own very quickly once you take the plunge!
Cheers Mike

Absolutely brilliant advice for beginners.

Mike, Rika,
I agree with both wholeheartedly!
I find that countless people spend
hundreds of dollars on information
products and do nothing with the information!
There is a learning curve, but no rocket science…..taking action is by far the biggest step to success.

Good job Andy, way to go! You’ll notice the profits will increase slowly at first but then all of a sudden when you least expect it your profits will start to compound and the increase in cash will be exponentially more.
Keep at it, you’re doing great!

Mike, thanks for the excellent post on the value of having a blog as a way to begin a business. Though you are talking about how it has made young entrepreneurs successful, I think it equally applies to the Baby Boomer Entrepreneurs who are starting businesses as an alternative to retirement. I have created a free web directory to help them make the transition to working smarter rather than harder. I am placing on that directory a link to your excellent post.

Hi Mike.
Great post !!
Yes the one thing they all have, apart from youth, thereby less pressure, is their Blogs, and I agree it’s a Great place to start.
Don’t mean to be anything other than positive.
But !!
Did they do it on their own or did they have help?
Did they have a Mentor who could tell them howto.
Do you need a team behind you or do you outsource?
